In 1974, I discovered Touch Drawing in a moment of playful exploration. When touching a paper towel that had been placed on a freshly inked printing plate, the pressure of my touch formed marks on the underside of the paper. Lines coming directly from my fingertips!  I laughed ecstatically with this discovery. In a state of revelation, spontaneous and childlike images began to pour through my hands.  Although this experience had the appearance of simple play, under the surface I sensed something profound and powerful. It was as if I was receiving a gift from outside of time, from an invisible knowing presence. I knew this process was not for myself alone. My life since then has been devoted to the deep calling I received on that day - to make this simple yet profound process available to others. Artists, therapists, educators, healers and people who think of themselves as 'non-artists' now find Touch Drawing to be an accessible yet powerful vehicle for expression of the soul.

I continue to deepen the relationship with my soul and the universe through Touch Drawing. In focus and trust, I listen within and translate subtle impulses onto the page through the touch of my fingertips. Over the years, my own drawings have evolved from the raw expression to deep transpersonal imagery. I have published 120 images in the form of SoulCards 1&2; these are inspirational cards whose evocative imagery inspire your own inner wisdom to emerge. They are sold worldwide. I have written numerous articles and the books Drawing Out Your Soul and the Touch Drawing Facilitator Workbook. I am adjunct professor at California Institute of Integral Studies and Wisdom University and have served on the board of the International Expressive Art Therapy Association.

Soul Essence Artist
Email: renyacreations@gmail.com

It is from the wisdom of soul that I receive images and themes that inspire me to co*create.  In 1997 my creative vision and voice first emerged when an ancient sound and poetic message called “Mawomba” visited my awareness, speaking to me of the essential awakening and enlivening of the divine sisterhood, which has been my passion ever since.  Mawomba inspired me to play with clay and from my self-taught hands, I gave birth to original terracotta goddess sculptures with inspirational messages. I offer a series of note cards (Prayer Wish Cards) giving gratitude to that which is beautiful, offering wisdom, strength, and peace to that which needs healing, and celebrating joy to uplift the spirit and lighten the way.
I welcome you to email me for additional information.

Dominick Botticelli

www.dominickbotticelli.com

As humanity undergoes a shift in consciousness from separation to unity and from polarity to holism, Dominick Botticelli's conceptual art conveys this shift.  Powerful images such as Lucifer Reading the Bible bring us face to face with the reconciliation of once disparate energies and archetypes.  His images bring the viewer to the portal of the cycle of life, death and renewal, initially stirring up the fear of death, and then opening the viewer to the deeper knowing of a continuum beyond beginning and ending.   His Nefertiti channels the power of the woman elevated to equal status with the Egyptian Pharoah Akhenaten in the 14th Century B.C.E.

Melissa L. Thornton

www.boldcolorlife.com

From her early days at Mount Holyoke College, Melissa L. Thornton has been a strong proponent for women to be ‘on top of the world’, living their lives to the fullest, exploring their unique gifts and desires and designing a life path that embraces the complete woman.

In her own life, Melissa has followed her creativity and self-expression down several avenues-photography, painting, and jewelry and website design. Her passion and creative focus is Mother Nature and she gathers her images and visions while hiking, kayaking and traveling the world.  This painting derives from a colorful swirl of tropical ocean creatures, evoking the charm and power of the snake.

Gloria Santoyo Ruenitz
Mixed Media Artist

Growing up in Latin America, things like color, music, family and religion were deeply woven into my own "life weave”. I find myself constantly drawing links between my photographs, found objects and words to the many layers of emotional and verbal communication in my life, while mirroring an experiential connection with the lives of others. I am obsessed with the concept (…the emotion, the statement, the theme) which then give I give form to. In many ways I consider myself a “storyteller” while letting my own deep emotions come through to the surface.

I work mostly in contrasting blacks and whites because: I want to make bold statements, it's feminine and masculine at the same time and because there lies a great cultural duality inside me. Having spent, so far, half of my life in Mexico and half in this country brings a whole set of contrasts in itself.

I will continue to work through my own life weave, discovering new issues that connect me to a larger universe.
